Why PM compliance rate matters for commercial contractors
Compliance rate is what a facilities manager or an internal agreement audit actually asks about — not whether every scheduled visit last quarter happened, but whether the equipment sitting on their roof or in their mechanical room is covered right now. It's also a liability question: on agreement-covered equipment, a failure that occurs while the asset is out of compliance is a harder conversation than one that occurs on a unit with a clean PM record.

Compliance rate is the current status of the asset; completion rate is the execution record of visits over a period. A branch can post a strong completion rate every month and still carry a chunk of non-compliant equipment if a handful of units were missed early and never caught up — which is why both metrics are usually tracked side by side rather than one substituting for the other.

Does PM compliance rate apply to non-agreement equipment?
