Straight answers.
Does a customer need to create an account or remember a password?
No. The office sends a single-use link and the customer is signed in. There is no account to register, no password to reset and no shared login to clean up when someone leaves.
Can a customer pay an invoice online through the portal?
Yes. The customer sees the invoice and balance in the portal and pays by card. The invoice closes out the moment it is paid.
Is what a customer sees the same record the office uses?
Yes. The portal is a view over the same customer, quote, agreement and invoice records the office works from. Accepting a quote updates that one record.
How secure is a portal access link?
Links are single-use, random and rate-limited against guessing. An expired or already-used link fails with the same generic message as an invalid one, so probing teaches nothing. There is no account list to enumerate and no password to guess.
Can customers edit anything?
No. The portal is for viewing, accepting and paying. Prices, job data and anything else the office owns stay with the office.
